It costs billions to take really good pictures of 'nothing'.

Modern physicists has been compared to a fish, who has suddenly realised that he is surrounded by water and that if he could understand what the water is, what it is made of, he could make better sense of the world.
Today we know, that nothing, the 'vacuum', is made of boiling virtual particles and we’ve built a microscope to look at them, namely the Large Hadron Collider, outside Geneva.
And it costs how much?
Billions, it takes billions to take really good pictures of 'nothing'.
