The consequences of holding a holier than thou 'moral' position

Image result for holier than thou
Let's suppose the one is a demonstrator in the US, You are demonstrating against what you believe
is bad/immoral/wrong - the Trump administration.

You get your chance to debate it on say Tucker Carlson

T So why are you doing this?

I an doing it because it will bring about a better state of affairs

So you morally assessed your actions solely by the states of affairs they would bring about and you would call that the 'good; is that correct?

Whatever choices increase the Good, is for the good,

T Where did you get your notion of the good from?

What

T And what you perceive to be the  good make it right?

What

T And does the good preceed the right?  And where exactly did you get your certainty from?
