Is masculinity more important to men than femininity to women?

Is masculinity more important to men than femininity to women? It would appear so by the size of your New York postbag comments  My goodness one stands back aghast at all those tough New Yoikers telling us what masculinity is not (Donald Trump)

One could argue in regard to Trump that there is such a thing as hegemonic masculinity where we witness ongoing gender performance, virility needs to be performed continually etc Trump is uber at that and some argue this leads to a flight from masculinity. One might argue the same about the majority of comments.

One of my snooty English friends, yes he, in the fedora hat and the linen suit,  the garb of conservative masculinity, asks what I am doing, writing a comment to the New York Times I tell him, 'oh that' he poohs poohs...'those comments are so low brow.'

When this friend  speaks he is quite eloquent, but real masculinity I think, the real man is incapable of eloquence for he is the ultimate bread winner, he is Capitalism's cog, something your vociferous comments men, asserting what masculinity is not (Donald Trump) might consider.
