Our 'humanisation' is not induced by morals but by an 'episteme'

Michel Foucault later go that the evolution of the judiciary system is not a result of "humanization". He gives other explanations. He talks about the need of a disciplined society  Foucaults episteme is a very interesting concept, and roughly summarized it is the conditions that create a sense of truth. There are some mechanisms that establishes some discourses as stronger than others, 'truer'. Foucault holds that there can only one episteme at a certain time in a certain culture.
