Michel Foucault later go that the evolution of the judiciary
system is not a result of "humanization". He gives other
explanations. He talks about the need of a disciplined society Foucaults
episteme is a very interesting concept, and roughly summarized it is the
conditions that create a sense of truth. There are some mechanisms that
establishes some discourses as stronger than others, 'truer'. Foucault holds
that there can only one episteme at a certain time in a certain culture.
Foucault identifies three episteme in the modern part of European history, the
episteme of the renaissance, the classical episteme and the modern.Karl
