What interests you as a thinker, the indicative or the subjunctive

The indicative mood is used to make factual statements, ask questions, or express opinions as if they were facts. Any verb tense may be deployed in the indicative mood. The following sentences are statements of fact or belief, so they are in the indicative mood: 'I saw something today that really annoyed me'

A verb is in the subjunctive mood when it expresses a condition which is doubtful or not factual. It is most often found in a clause beginning with the word if. It is also found in clauses following a verb that expresses a doubt, a wish, regret, request, demand, or proposal.
