So what became of this mam who supposedly changed the eating habits of millions?
Dr Atkins died aged 72 in April 2003, after falling and hitting his head on a New York pavement, and disputes still rage about his weight at the time of his death.
The New York chief medical examiner’s report on his death recorded his weight as 258 pounds (18 stone 4 lbs), which, for a six-foot man, qualifies, on Atkins’s own criteria, as clinically obese.
What are we to make of this? That we, perhaps are credulous, naive and passive in the
face of the 'informed' opinion makers who bliitzkrieg with their opinions.
