Let us renounce that most ancient and venerable hypothesis the SOUL

The soul was and is theoretically indemonstrable, as Kant argued, 

Move the clock forward and it is the view of some that is about time to  renounce one of the most ancient and venerable hypotheses, the soul

and thus the path lies open for newl more sophisticated hypothesis such as post metaphysical  thinking 


i,e not as mortal/immortal 'thing' but an acceptance on our part that this 'thing;
has arisen out of human drives and its human effects.

The sould is a representation but let us say we delve 'spiritually' beyond our first conception or represenation and we find that ht ething in istesefl stil a representation it does not have ontological status,
