Our desire for recognition has a biological basis

'Not many people know this' as Michael Caine uses to say,
but our desire for recognition has a biological basis.

And that basis is related to levels of serotonin in the brain,

But does this awareness of this factundermine the sense of dignity that comes from being recognised by others.

If I know  very well that my self-esteem depends on the production of serotonin in my brain, can I
innocently enjoy that sense of sefl-esteem,

My anwser to that is, yes I can.
