When you have put your trust in a smooth UK lawyer (Tony Blair) and then discovered you have been badly deceived by that slippery snake of a thing called charm then you are wary of being stung again.
Butt then along comes Obama and your hopes are raised again, this is a good man, a black man in the White House this is a good thing, a positive, progressive thing for us all. But sadly 4 years later it proves not to be the case. One just feels that old chestnut, power corrupts applies to Obama, for he appeared to me to be a make-it-up President as he debated with Romney.
The President insulted, patronised and mocked his opponent rather than put across a constructive argument. His performance was rude and unpresidential. Whereas Biden came across as a bar room bruiser, Obama repeatedly waving his hands dismissively and constantly smirking in Romney’s direction came across as a Biden with velvet gloves.
By contrast, Romney was stoic in the face of smirking abuse and looked more presidential.
In the UK, Tony Blair, a second rate lawyer, laid down a scent which reeks to this day, Obama, on this performance also laid down a scent that was patronising, rude and dismissive., lump them all together and you get desperate.
On the evidence of this performance, Obama, wasn't too professorial he was too 'Bidenesque'.
