How reluctant the UK's newspaper the Guardian is to celebrate the advent of what appear to be an entente cordiale; at present no more than a cordial understanding with North Korea; the same applies to the New York Times; of course caution and balance is an admirable thing especially if one is crossing a busy road, but cautious comments might also be seen as timidity and balance as no more than sitting on the fence. For God's sake Guardian/NYT editors, stop being so nit pickingly judicious; the traffic has temporarily stopped and in semiotic speak the sign says cross, isn't that at least some kind of relief?
