The
tendency to conformity in our society is so strong that reasonably intelligent
and well-meaning people are willing to call white black.
This raises questions about our ways of education and about the values that guide our conduct.
We go along with the group, the herd, for safety, and out of fear of being ridiculed. At a up market dinner party there are three forks and knives beside your plate, where to start? Well, follow the person sitting beside you, but he didn't know either and he had followed the person etc.
You assume others know more. Then you have people like me who just assume that they know more than every body else. Wrong.
