Why did Bill Clinton read and reread Marcus Aurelius?

Was it to become a lawyer, a really sharp lawyer, different, a lawyer with a real depth in
philosophical wisdom?

I presume it was all of the above, however, if he had really taken on board Marcus Aurelius sage advice he would have stayed away from interns.
