When you start on reason you can nver start far back enough

When you start with reason you can never start back far enough. To adopt an instantly reasonable stance is to ride slip shod over its constituents ie  bodily needs, material conditions, proddings of power, emotional bonds, practical relations with the world etc etc. Here one resorts to the Buddhist
philosophy of not placing too much value on your views.
