Farewell, oh Welfare State I knew thee well.

Oft I have used thee, a fellow you were of infinite reward, oft you have provided for me

and most excellent it was to idle away my days on most excellent fancy and freedom from wearisome toil.

But verily a chill economic wind doth blow across our lande

 

Sad it doth make me to see you pass away in such ignomy

for you hath borne me on your back a thousand times.
