Are you a smart Alec?

A smart Alec is someone who is all too keen to show off their knowledge, Ok the knowledge imparted might be useful to some, but it is imparted by the Smart Alec in such a smug, gloating way that it becomes unbearably irritating.

So your average Smart Ale knows too much and will take every opportunity to remind us of this,
