You cannot be disappointed about something if you had no expectations

You cannot be disappointed about something if you had no expectations about that something.  

You cannot feel guilt  without believing you did something wrong.   

You cannot feel betrayed without believing that someone broke a promise to you or did something that could have injured you.

When asked to consider what logic there might be to emotions,  most will respond that there is none

But if we think of logic as a study of inferences then the question "Are there inferences to be drawn from statements about emotions?" we may then see the emotion in a a very different light.
