The West’s most confident discourses have been put to the rack by the proliferation of such movements as hermeneutics, structuralism, post structuralism, modernism; post modernism, neo Marxism, and alternate epistemologies such as feminism, ethnic, gay rights etc.
Hopefully such positions will continue to proliferate.
As a result we recognise hegemonic patterns and contest them. For we have realised that institutionalised ways of thinking by large groups of humanity has for millennia constructed the world
The challenge is that we continue to contest these patterns or discourses of thinking.
The aim is to dislodge the ground from which groups or persons securely represents others.
