The Appearance of an Objective World distinguishable from a Subjective Self

The appearance of an objective world distinguishable from a subjective self is but the imaginary form in which Consciousness perfectly realises itself, argues Joel Morwood

and William James has it that

'...our normal waking consciousness, rational consciousness as we call it, is but one special type of consciousness, whilst all about it, parted from it by the flimiest of screens, there lie potential forms of consciousness entirely different.'

  Duck or rabbit?

Well, let's reflect on those observations. On first apearance they are disconcerting, indeed a tad disturbing. However when assimilated it might encourage us to view our world in a more open and less restricted way.

Events, things, might not be as they are on first appearance. This may encourage us to delve a little further before reaching conclusions.
