What kitsch might include

A friend pronounces on Kitsch, '.... Kitsch might  include more than the golden-haired Madonnas , or epicene statues of Jesus, or those twee pictures of the infant Jesus. .. . It might also  include the words of the liturgy, that public religious worship, especially Christian worship, and some of those sacharine hymns as well.

I counter '...but some Hymns are quite beautiful.'
