How can you perform if your 'self' does not exist?

The central concern is to pose the question of subjectivity for the performer. The question asked is how can you give your self to a performance if your subjectivity is contested.

As the subject is mapped, the notion of self within a gender, linguistic, narrative and closure framing must be addressed.

In utilising neuroscience it is demonstrated how the mysteries of our emotions are becoming transparent.

As such notions as self, identity, gender, mind, soul, spirit are challenged, it is shown how the subject is unravelled in our classical world and the implications this has for our performance. In the non classical world of quantum mechanics thet notion of subjectivity is fundamentally problematic. Out of all this a realignment of our subjectivity and performance is being proposed.
