Freud beats up Bacon's lover - Bacon outraged.

Girl with a white dog, 1951–1952, Tate Gallery. Portrait of Freud's first wife, Kitty Garman,

Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion, 1944. Oil and pastel on Sundeala board. Tate Britain, London

Lucian Freud a combative to the end (he would still have rows in supermarkets and near stand up fights with others shoppers even though at that time he was an octogenarian, over eighty years of age.

One real stand up fight he had was with the lover of Francis Bacon, Freud by all accounts gave Bacon's male lover a good kicking when he heard that this person had beaten up his friend his fellow painter, Bacon.

However when Bacon heard of this he was outraged, for Bacon was an extreme masochist and
there was noting he liked better than being beaten up.
