With an accent like that, how could he be lazy

Defending his friend, who, although born in the tenements of Glasgow, Scotland,  but who now spoke
with a cut glass English accent
to the charge of this Scottish politician being lazy, the friend replied

 '...with an accent like that how can he be lazy.'
