Our model-dependent naive reality

Our 'naive' view of reality (everyday experience) is not compatible with modern physics.  In our everyday we employ a model-dependent
type of realism. It is based on the the idea that our brains interpret the input from our sensory organs by making a model of the world.
Example:
Convention= I sit on this chair and the table is on front of me.
Reality: =      all there is atoms and the void.

Hard to accept today as it was in Aristotle's day, Aristotle rejected the concept of atoms because he did not believe human beings were composed of soulless, inanimate objects.

But then Aristotle had lots of strange ideas, he also thought that men had more teeth then women. And you have to ask why he didn't lobby Mrs Socrates or Mrs Plato to verify this.
