Linguistic Totalitarianism

In the beginningg was the word, well...not quite. Language is only a part of our cognitive world. For it depends on the larger context of subpersonal nonliguistic cognition that we share with other animals:
that pervasive decentred corporeal thinking which is our common grounding and which language neither realises  nor supplants.
