if yoru drop that bag of new clothes on the wet pavement, no need to pick them up, because

The woman ahead is laden with those distinctive brown shopping bags that denote she has just had a good 'shopping spree' at her local Primani’.  There is zest in her step as she presses on in the downpour of rain that is making the brown bags a tad soggy.

And lo and behold doesn’t one those bags split open and wouldn’t you know it all the garments from the said bag spills onto the wet pavement.
The woman pauses, looks at the new garments on the wet pavement, then shrugs her shoulders and walks on.
What does this tell us?  It tells us that the clothes are so cheap at the local ’Primani'  that there was no need to gather up her new purchases because for a fiver or so  she can stock-up again, on t shirts, vests,  sock, night gowns.
But there is an inconvenient truth around all this, and it is how much the workers are paid to make all this consumer frenzy possible and some of those facts, of workers pay and conditions, are quite brutal.
But hey, let’s not get too earnest here. The workers are getting employment, aren’t they?  Eh yes,
But under what conditions?
