Once the "normal" pragmatic-utilitarian bourgeois daily life was established, its own violent heroic origins were disavowed. (Once I was working class but I marched and took part in strikes and brought about change now i am middle class - an eventual sequence reaching its end)
However as the wheels of history inevitably turn there is a much more unsettling possibility of an event disavowing itself, say, my emancipation erasing its own traces, as the ultimate indication of its triumph, is not taken into account
"the possibility and ramifications of there being radical breaks and discontinuities that might, in part due to their own reverberations unfolding off into the future, become invisible to those living in realities founded on such eclipsed (once I was working class, woke, progressive) they were my points of origin and now they have been eclipsed by the circularity of history
