This acceptance of body states could have wider social
implications, and in some bizarre instances this is already evident. For some
Vatican theologians there is an acceptance that the consciousness of Rome’s
citizens changes when the Sirocco wind blows. Indeed, for some papal dignitaries, it is not
possible to commit mortal sin whilst the Sirocco blows, and forgiveness, as in crime
passional, should be
morally extended.
