What happened to our Country? asks the gushing with sentiment New York Times

On the surface this appears to be a very human story of survival and self-interest something we are all prone to; yet, it drips with sentiment, and the accusing finger so easilydirected at the evil ogre (Trump and his band of whiter than white hench men) are predictably the culprits.

Who would have guessed?

This sort of nuance free sentiment does nothing to heal an ailing America and just furthers the divide.

What happened to the Country? is the plaintive question (more gushy sentiment) Well, it was never Shangri-La. Today it is sinking in suffused (this article) and no holds barred vitriol and what is required is an enema of reason.

What is the subtext of the NYT publishing such a cloaked in sentiment article? One can only hazard a guess, go on, call me heartless, that it is to evoke a dewy eyed yearning for a non-existent past that will further unite the anti-Trump faction.

Talk about healing! Well done the Press, is it unfair that so many people now refer to journalists

as the real terrorists who roll off the ideological liberal factory belts called 'Universities'
