Mueller's collusion circus is like the 'reds under the beds' of the 1950s

 With stunning speed since Trump was elected a secular religion, i.e a liberal orthodoxy,  has arisen which has attracted hordes of acolytes.

Its main characteristic is to exclude dissent, its preferred weapons being the ad hominen approach of name calling to anyone who challenges their creed.

It is like no other formation of mass opinion in the adult life of most of the public

it can only be likened to  the anti-communist hysteria during the early 1950s.
