brrrrr...itI has been a long and cold winter in the UK
At last, this weekend some sunshine and this blog welcomes that with a beautiful poem by
the Anglo Spanish poet Charis Vigo.

Robins
Tinder-bounce on matchstick legs
backward tilt, don’t stand quite true,
set slightly skewiff into their world
toys stuck together of driftwood and feathers
their red a secret, almost hidden by brown,
down ruffling real red at the edges
a swift stab, beak to beak
as one passes on bread
to its baby, standing there on stalks
clumsy and indistinguishable in the wind
by Charis Vigo
