Warhol goes to the movies

This is the quintessential Warholian moment and all the more relevant as it is true.

Warhol decides to take a few friends to see his movie Sleep at a downtown cinema. The film, shows John Giorno slumbering almost motionless for six hours.

The wunderkind  was prone in his directorial efforts to point his camera in this autistic way (see Warhol's 'Empire State' where he points his camera at the iconic building for 24 hours. Yikes! Get me outta here)

Anyway back to the story or in 'Hollywoodian', cut to the chase.  On arrival at the cinema, Warhol's group is told that the cinema is empty and that the movie has started, but Warhol and his entourage of nature's dependents press on undaunted.

And what they find inside the cinema is indeed completely empty apart from one slumbered figure in the third row and he appears to be fast asleep.

When they advance down they find it is indeed him - the solitary figure of John Giorno. There he was star of the flick, and the only person in the cinema, slouched, like some alka seltzer which has drifted and sunk to the bottom, fast asleep.
"Holy Jesus, is it him?" Yes, on closer inspection...yes, it is! They all look at him in their precocious sourness at his posture of exclusion and defeat. "Fuck me, it really is John."

Talk about life imitating art. for here is a man who has come to watch a movie about him being asleep and while watching this movie in a cinema he falls asleep. How does one describe this?
You have to employ a Hitchonian apercu, what it is - is a transvestised fact.
