There are discordant academic voices to what exactly Wittgenstein

meant when he referred to the
meaning of a word.
Some argue that what Wittgenstein meant was that the meaning of a word is its use.
Some say it is not that simple and that Wittgenstein was more ample, more flexible and that the meaning of a word was in a kind of employment of it.
The more practical of the literati refer to the more supple Wittgensteinian meaning
ie 'Practice' gives the words their sense.
I don't know about you but it seems to me that these academics are all singing from the same hymn sheet.
