The brain belongs to the individual, the mind does not.
So who does ones mind belong to?
It belongs to language, 'culture', 'norms' economics, versions of history.
All these appeals to your mind, your inner self, your conscience, your soul, your spirit, your character are discourses directed to what you believe is yours but in fact has been constituted by other structures, ie the discourses and the megaphone of these discourses are never turned off.
It is like having a man/woman loud hailering you 24/7.
Can one disengage from this relentless loud hailering.
Not entirely, but if you don't read newspapers and you don't have a television you are on your way.
