When my body hemorhaged meaning

I am walking across the street in London. Model citizen that I am I am using a  pedestrian crossing. To my right a car approaches...hold on...that car is going quite fast...it really is...bloody hell it is not going to stop... Jesus...

At the first  sight of the car speeding towards me, my body went into overdrive and began to hemorrhage meaning; the hairs stand up on the back my neck, sweat glands start leaking, my scalp tingle, my knees buckle and a myriad of other bodily change which I am not medically qualified to expound on.

Where was my brain at this instant? perhaps on a deck chair  sipping a sangria. Yes, the brain that glorified piece of muscle and matter, is a Johny come lately in our alarm system

The car has now stopped and its occupants, a group of young men smirk at me, what a hoot.

My brain says, this is just a rush of testoserone, kids showing off. My body say I would like to give them all a kick up the....
I walk on, my brain wins
