OUR ENTANGLED STATE OF BEING

VThe existence of pure entangled states means that, if we consider a composite system consisting of spatially separated parts, then, even when the state of the system is a pure state, the state is not determined by the reduced states of its component parts. Thus, quantum states exhibit a form of nonseparability. See the entry on holism and nonseparability in physics for more information. Quantum entanglement results in a form of nonlocality that is alien to classical physics
