Is Biden one of the 'new wounded'

 

 In broad strokes on might argue that psychoanalysis has neglected the brain, whereas  the findings of affective neuroscience -- especially with regard to what is termed "the new wounded" (Malabou 2012) that is, patients with brain damage severe enough to constitute a destruction of the previous subject and withoutbeing too unkind and as some have argued, one sees Biden falter verbally he is the embodiment of a reproach to psychoanalysis, exposing himself as the  model patient that psychoanalysis can neither theorize nor treat .  What is required is a genuinely materialist (neuroscience) and empirically up-to-date psychoanalysis that deals with faltering subjectivity as the brain ages.
