To condone some behaviour as being 'alright' is to be operating within moral parameters, equally so if you claim that a certain behaviour is not 'ok'.
Here one is hostage to the 'moral' argument, or more strongly a parasite on the moral system
In a moral universalising way 'There can be no society without some moral rules...' moralists avow to the crave multitude
For to think one is 'courageous' is a moral notion as is to think ones self a 'coward'
But morality is not something that was one day found under a rock, instead it is something that is drip fed to children and is strongly internalised in childhood and moral notions don't just evaporate in the absence of censorious neighbours, when one reaches adulthood.
