The Internet, a magical convenience or a creeping smell that runs through the smallest details of our lives,

The question  is whether the internet is a zone of innocence and freedom, which originated out of
Cold War strategy, 

or a ‘magical convenience that now creeps like a smell through the smallest details of our lives, the shopping, the housework, the homework, the taxes, absorbing our energy, eating up our precious time.
