All the certainties we hold dear are being replaced

Emergence is replacing teleology (the story at the end) reflexive epistemology ( further quesstioning of what we deem or are told what it knowledge)  is replacing objectivism; distributed cognition  ( respect for the workings of our own brain in regard to the verity of  what they tell us  and replacing  autonomous will; embodiment is replacing a body seen as a support system for the mind;

And a dynamic partnership between humans and intelligent machines replaces the liberal humanist subject’s manifest destiny to dominate and control nature.

 From a posthuman perspective, Hayles our subjectivity is emergent rather than given, distributed rather than located solely in consciousness, emerging from and integrated into a chaotic world rather than occupying a position of mastery and control removed from it.
