If only 'progressive' spent less time on the juvenilia of 'demos'

 There is an assumption being that if liberal activists spent less time on movement politics, protests and single-issue campaigns in the coastal cities, they’d have more time to swarm over small-town Illinois, doorstepping swing voters.

 But it is just as likely that if energised young liberals, those  passionate romantic idealists, those disciplined army of moderate civic foot soldiers,or rag tag mob, depending on your political allegiance were discouraged from ‘identity politics’, they would drop out of politics altogether.

But surely that one be a good thing, one would not have to contend with their tiresome juvenilia
