Our spheres of consciousness and self-awareness are restricted. When we see others we draw on language to describe them to ourselves, it is our only referent. However our language repetoires are limited so we fall back on our quotidian reality.
We see someone else, and one “imagines” what this othe essentially is; this is measured against what one imagines” oneself to be, and this self assessemtn is is in turn is measured against
the imagined perspectives of others.
What does all this do for one? Well, it encourages me stop being so certain in my assessment of myself and others.
