You have finished making the film - now what?

Extract Below:
You’ve finished the
making of your first film; now you sit there proudly in your dark room swelling
with pride. Yes, you think grandly, this is the ‘one’; the film that will
unmask the ...how would you say it? oh, you know, the arbitrary conventions
that inform our assumptions. Well, OK, a little grand that claim, but still,
sitting there you are full of admiration for yourself; your essence went into
the making of this film; in fact more than your essence. What is more than your
essence?...your...eh marrow, yeah...your marrow on celluloid. This film is
going to be the making of me, well...not fame...that is just crude egoistic
striving, still, would be nice; Cannes, strolling down the Promenade de la Croisette, well, you know what I
mean?
