Who is that omniscient, omnipresent narrator appearing everywhere at once, simultaneously seeing the outside and the inside of things … knowing the present, the past and the future of every enterprise?
It can only be God/Author/Authority.
But surely the task is to lift the novel from significations, all those tried and tested door stops, depth , character, humanism....the obsolete notions.
When she said all this to me in her deadpan way, I knew she was a fellow Warholian.
