The liberal mind-set that worships at the tomb of the unknown principle.

Liberalism, asserts that there are general but substantial moral truths, universally applicable, on which liberalism’s claim to deliver the human good is founded
But there is a haziness about their certitudes, human good, unless we rely on Biblical allusion is a hazy notion. And , for moral is relativistic word, it makes sense only when aligned against immoral. Moral is also a value term, so we end up with the inevitable liberal haziness. Liberals have a
certitude that they stand atop that metaphor 'the moral high ground'
Does the liberal mind-set make one worship at the tomb of the unknown principle.

We could argue that  liberalism as a poor substitute for the real thing.  Witness the chameleonic
Ed Miliband's crocodile tears in the |House of Commons when raising the issue of Syria. After he had opportunistically voted down proposed action in a recent vote.
