Tony Blair - that exemplary Labour and Christian - eh... not

Tony Blair the most successful Labour politician in recent times
(3 Election victories - 13 years of power).

Now he struts the world stage posing  as a wise global elder, pontificating on religion and
democracy
Perhaps we should not be surprised by this man who was always so casual about human rights
as Ian Birrell points out http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/some-protests-suit-blair-more-than-others-8697932.html

Blair's web of conflicting interests make him look more tarnished and irrelevant by the day,
Surely having  6 or is that 7 different properties in the UK worth this side of a billion would occupy most folks.

Think of the good and Christian
Mr Blair  in that infamous deal in the desert with Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi that so prostituted British national interests.

Our former prime minister has become the Middle East peace envoy who endorses military
coups, dictatorships, foreign intervention and street protests to oust leaders. He also says he supports democracy, although seemingly only if the right people win and then act according to his
approval

As prime minister, Blair took freebie holidays from former dictator Hosni Mubarak, then later hailed his embezzling old pal as “immensely courageous and a force for good”

He also, with the renowned frugal Mrs Blair, took 'freebie'
holidays with Silvio Berlusconi

Cherie: 'Our best night ever was during freebie holiday in Berlusconi's Sardinian villa'
Blairs and Berlusconi
Best friends: Silvio Berlusconi with Tony and Cherie Blair

Ian Birrell points out that 'Advisers told me that when Blair was in office, behind all
those warm words about freedom and democracy was a
devotion to the most merciless realpolitik, with ruthless focus
on money and power.'

Now this man who props up dictators and takes fat cheques from autocrats seeks to place himself on the side of street protesters around the world,

What is happening in Egypt, is approved by Blair and by a host of media liberals. It is is more
of the same
from Blair, this tainted politician and we the public have to listen his platudinous mantras that
have little to do with the real world.

Labour, you must be proud. Not

Still, for someone who kneelt down and prayed with George Bush what do you expect?
