Why we deem babies to be 'naturally' cute.

Hey, who am I to talk, I have four beautiful children and I have drooled over every one of them. You know, in that caretaker speech called parentese or "mommy talk", or "daddy talk" – that nonstandard form of speech used by adults in talking to toddlers and infants.
Yes I have used the  "cooing" pattern of intonation , ‘...coochy coochy coo’ etc, with many glissando variations that are more pronounced than those of normal speech. Yes, I have indulged in  hyperarticulation,  as I went “...who is beauuutful baby them.....coochy coooochy cooo.”,
That is enough ‘coochy cooo’ you have got the picture.

However it would appear, from a neuroscientific viewpoint, (I don’t know what we are going to do with these neuroscientists) , that  Babies are not ‘naturally’ cute. Apparently it is our evolutionary dictates that deems them to be ‘naturally’ cute, For if  we were to deem them not to be ‘naturally’ cute this would hinder evolutuions march to protect the species.  Apparently there is evidence of other species not having this overly protective drive – as a result the species  died out.
