When someone defaces your wallpaper and it is OK.

You have papered your front room. It was hard work, Choosing the paper, a partner saying no, insisting that is too loud, this one is more select...etc etc....then the work it takes all of three days to do.

You wake up the next morning to admire your work and you see

You beautiful new paper scrawled and defaced, and you shoulder sag

You face wearies, but you still consumed with love as you hear her footseps coming down the stairs and you hear her cheery, “Good morning.”

You know she has done it but she is entirely innocent for she suffers from somnabulism (sleepwalking) and at the point of her actions she was an automaton. So you give her a hug and go and eat breakfast without saying a word,

(There have been recorded cases of ‘Homicidal somnabulism’, in which the person commiting the crime has been declared innocent).
