What lies behind the Examination

The examination surrounded by all the documentary techniques makes each individual a case.

A new kind of individual is invented – the individuality of the calculable man

We sit patiently in the Examination Room, overhanging us is the pedagogic whine like some persistent insect,  our ability to swat the pedagogic whine has been removed from us, by ...you guessed it, by the pedagogues.

The EXAMINATION is now doing to individuals what has already been done to text , that is subject them (the individual) to scrutiny; yes,  look beneath surface and disclose these people's inner truth.

I look around, all these heads bowed,  here in this EXAMINATION room where everyone is required to write in order to demonstrate the inner truth about themselves, here in this room an objective and numerical value will be put upon you and you will carry it about inside you.

It is a preparation we have been told, by the pedagogues, for when we are finished with this examination we will be prepared for social and professional life, for isn't that  a constant process of examination?
