A simulated event, featuring the appearance of the Higgs boson (God Particle) |
If we didn’t have some stability in the atoms of which we are composed, we would be blown all over the shop – and at the speed of light.
How can I convey this, think of a tornado of unimaginable force suddenly erupting in a confetti shop? Or think of John Lennon as a bull who was always looking for a china shop, think of the force of the collision if he found one. It’s alright to say that, because I was there and I witnessed it. I will let you disambiguate the oxymoronic element in that. But believe me he was a bit of a Hadron Collider himself
So in endeavouring to find out the relatively stable state we exist in they (physicists) designed the Hadron Collider with the aim of smashing atoms together at the speed of light. And then they will know the X of it all, or will they?
But whatever the result, don't worry all you God fearing’ folk out there, for I have every confidence in the muzzle of obscurity that is called Religion, that those with theocratic inclinations who believe, will firstly accommodate the result, whatever it is, and then they will appropriate it, to their own belief system
as they always do and as they always must do.
