THE PR0BLEM WITH MEASUREMENT

  1. When no measurement, or other observation, is made of a system, then that system evolves in a deterministic and linear fashion.
  2. When a measurement, or other observation, is made of a system, then that system instantaneously and non-deterministically collapses into a definite value for the property being measured.
known as the “collapse interpretation” because the collapse interpretation isupposes that an observer external to a system causes the system, upon observation, to collapse from a quantum mechanical state to a state in which the elements of the system appear to have a determinate value for the property measured.

As a result of the [measurement] interaction the state of the measuring apparatus is no longer capable of independent definition. It can be defined only relative to the state of the object system. In other words, there exists only a correlation between the two states of the two systems. It seems as if nothing can ever be settled by such a measurement

None the less although this interpretation is largely successful as it serves to explain our experiences of the world,

The standard interpretation also tells us that if we do not observe quantum particles, then that collapse will not happen and they will remain in their superpositions.
What is a r superposition?  Here and there at the same time in two places at the exact same time.
